Boxing Day is this old holiday just after Christmas Day where traditionally, in the United Kingdom, butlers, cooks and gardeners used to get their day off after serving their employers. The tradition has spread and of coursed morphed into a second celebration of the Christmas holidays where empty boxes and gifts are exchanged and returned when not satisfying. In Canada, Boxing Day is the equivalent of Black Friday. Boxing Day seems to be making inroads in the United States. Boxing Day is a statutory holiday in Canada and to celebrate this shopping holiday, we’ll look at some boxing action figures that seem to not be for sale anymore!

Storm-Toys is a South Asian toy manufacturer that creates realistic action figures and maquettes of sports and celebrity figures. Their signature item is the Mike Tyson action figure. This figure comes with several exchangeable parts such as different heads, hands and props. But what makes this figure so incredible, is the amount of details it has. Look at the skin texture on the toy's face and torso. It really feels like it’s a smaller Mike Tyson. The guys at Storm-Toys haven’t shared yet if they rely on 3D scanned of their subjects or if they rely on visual references. In any case, some of the models they are working on like the Michael Jackson action figure can only be created from archival material.

One thing is certain though, the studio did obtain licensing rights to the celebrities they sculpt action figures of. The Mike Tyson action figure could be ordered through Storm-Toy’s Facebook page, although they confirm that bootleg editions are also circulating.
