Valiant Comics' 8-Bit Game and Covers

Valiant Comics is releasing an 8-Bit downloadable game for iOS and Android systems titled Harbinger Wars: Battle for Las Vegas. It's a promotional tool/game that is being used to promote the re-launched comic book line's first major summer crossover event, also titled Harbinger Wars. To promote the game itself, Valiant Comics are releasing several variant cover issues featuring tributes to the fondly remembered and highly nostalgic 8-Bit games of years gone by.

This event/variant cover crossover is the absolute coolest piece of crossover promotion that ANY major comic book publisher has released recently. Aimed at the right audience, and fitted perfectly for the generation of older comic book readers who grew up playing the classic 8-Bit games (and the readers who buy the most comics currently), Valiant's 8-Bit promo event is not only the most imaginative crossover event, it's one of the smartest.  Be sure to feast your eyes upon the many awesome covers below in the gallery.
