VIZ MEDIA ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY RETAIL CAMPAIGN WITH TRANS WORLD ENTERTAINMENT TO PROMOTE DELUXE EDITION OF NARUTO THE MOVIE: NINJA CLASH IN THE LAND OF SNOW
Three-Disc Set Includes Engraved Tin, Soundtrack and Host Of Extras And Will Receive Dynamic Multimedia Retail Promotion
VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, has announced that it has teamed with Trans World Entertainment Corporation, one of the largest specialty music and video retailers in the United States, to launch a special holiday retail campaign utilizing web, print, broadcast and related multimedia to promote the release of a new three-disc Deluxe Edition of Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow.
As part of the promotion, Maile Flanagan, who is the voice of Naruto in the animated TV series, has recorded a special in-character reminder for the f.y.e. and Suncoast Backstage Pass customers. These customers who previously signed up for the Backstage Pass program will be sent this special audio message with details about how they can be among the first to purchase the Deluxe Edition DVD of Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow.
More than 770 f.y.e. locations nationwide will feature prominent in-store Naruto signage, and 30 second commercial spots for the new release will run on both in-store monitors and also through the www.fye.com website. There will also be a text-to-win component for an opportunity to win related Naruto merchandise and a plasma TV prize that will be supported through additional in-store signage and television advertising. A subsequent print ad promoting the release will also appear in the Holiday FUSE TV Amplified Guide.
The Deluxe Edition of Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow is a three-disc set that contains both the feature film and an added Naruto short – Hidden Leaf Village Grand Sports Festival. The second disc features exclusive interviews with the original Japanese cast, a message from series creator Masashi Kishimoto, theatrical trailers, and a rare behind-the-scenes look at the dubbing sessions for the domestic release of the film and interviews with the English dub cast. The third disc offers the dramatic soundtrack to the film. All are packaged in an engraved full-color collector’s tin with a suggested retail price of $29.98.
The Naruto series depicts the adventures of a young boy named Naruto Uzumaki who trains to become a ninja.
