It's finally here. That's right, Ultimate Spider-man has hit its 50th issue. And to commemorate it we have a double-sized special! In "CLAWS" we are introduced to the Ultimate incarnation of one of Spidey's biggest conundrums. Yep, we're meeting Black Cat.

Ultimate Spider-man is always up there on my favourite book list and one of the reasons is Bendis's writing. The way he writes the interaction between Peter and Mary Jane can make you jealous that you haven't got that relationship. That's how good the dialogue is. Not all's going well with Spidey though in this issue. Superstition say's, if you cross a black cat you get 7 years bad luck. Well, by what happens to Peter at the end, it looks like that bad luck has hit and hit in a big way.

One of the other reasons I love this book is because of Mark Bagley and the chemistry he has with Bendis. And this very chemistry is highlighted at the start of this double sized issue, as the first several pages are all Bagley. You won't miss anything though as the story flows smoothly. The only thing that is weird to me in this is the Black Cat costume. Why the hell are her breasts hanging out? With all the running and jumping this issue, I was wondering when we'd get a censored panel.
