In this issue, Nicholas Dane avenges the death of another one of Flight’s 654's passengers. This time, it’s boxer Marcus Small who was also an assassin for the mysterious cardinals trying to eliminate Dane. It’s a race against time as the cardinal’s current agents are cluing in on Dane’s connection to the deceased passengers. Can Dane avenge Small and save his wife from torture, before the mob kills her?
This issue continues the mystery of Dane and the evil men and women looking for him. We get more clues as to how Dane survived the plane crash and the suspense increases as his opponents are figuring out the same. Although a convincing suspense triller, there are too much secondary characters and after a few months since having read the last issue, it becomes harder to remember and piece all together. This is one story that would read better as trade paperback edition.
The art continues to be splendid and dark. I like how Azaceta hints at some of the most disturbing and gross scenes, instead of drawing it. It leaves much to the imagination of the reader and is a competent use of closure effects in comic books.
