Trying to help out a fellow slave, Arness is punished by being stoned. Left for dead in his Slave quarter's, a Goddess come's to him and give's him a Magical stone, a stone that grant's him special powers. Escaping captivity he journey's in search of allies to help him in his quest, while learning how to deal with his new powers.
Disney style art, with massive amount's of gore. That sum's up ROKKIN. I couldn't help but think as I read this issue, what it would be like if the art had a more serious tone. While I still don't have an answer to that yet, I do know that Rokkin is shaping up to be something really awesome. We don't really learn much more about Arness in this issue, just the story of him gaining his powers. I think as this series move's on, and we learn more about him as a person, it will really start to open up.
