While we were away for the long weekend (see: Victoria Day), Harmonix, MTV Games and Electronic Arts unveiled the set list for Rock Band Unplugged, the upcoming PSP exclusive version of their popular Rock Band music/rhythm franchise. The game includes an impressive list of tracks from the past few decades, going all the way back to the 60s, including songs from AFI, The Who, Jethro Tull, Audioslave and many more. In all, there will be 41 tracks featured in Rock Band Unplugged (not bad at all for one little UMD) from the already quite expansive Rock Band musiclibrary. Also, for a limited time, nine of those tracks will only be available exclusively in Rock Band Unplugged, until they are released as downloadable content (DLC) on other console versions (MTV Games has not given a specific time range).

Rock Band Unplugged will function similarly to the console versions of the franchise. Like the console versions, Unplugged will feature a number of fully functional gameplay modes, including World Tour, Band Survival, Warm Up and a character creator. The major difference is that your hands are the “peripherals” this time round, allowing players to take direct control of the instruments and vocals (Harmonix has not specified how that will work just yet). From the look of the game's trailer (below), the gameplay in Unplugged may function similarly to Harmonix's classic Playstation 2 music/rhythm title, Frequency.
The complete track list, organized alphabetically by band, by decade, and with Unplugged exclusive tracks in bold, is:

Continuing the tradition of keeping the music fresh and flowing, Rock Band Unplugged will be DLC compatible. In fact, Unplugged will be the first PSP game to be equipped with an in-game DLC store, so, like the console versions of Rock Band, you won't need to exit the game to look for content. The Playstation Network will power the in-game store, thus allowing players to use their existing Playstation Network accounts to purchase and download tracks, even through the Playstation Store on PC.
