After having his life destroyed by a Russian mobster, salesman Erik Miller embarked on a crusade against thugs and criminals. In this issue, he continues his training taking shooting lessons and starts to plot his revenge against the man who murdered his wife and unborn child. Will Miller’s sanity keep in check or is it too late to change paths?

It’s a great story, although, it feels like a fictionalized Bowling for Columbia. In that sense, we’re not learning much about the way guns can be purchased and it makes an otherwise solid story feel like it was directly influenced by the documentary. Nevertheless, Hollmer goes in deeper territory, explaining how the crime families work. This story is a good case study of what vigilantism really is.

The art is delightful and although only in black and white. The inking is strong and effective. More comprehensive backgrounds would be welcomed though.
