Microsoft
Game Studios and Rare announced the release of the latest
Viva
Piñata
video
game,
Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise,
today.
The development team behind the original
Viva Piñata
video game has returned to
create another piñata management/gardening game, except this
one has a bit of a story to it. Players will still get to cultivate
and customize a garden paradise to attract over 100 diverse piñata
species, but now players will have to watch out, as Professor Pester
and his gang of Ruffians have wiped out Piñata Central's
computer records, threatening piñata parties around the world.

In
related video game release news, Electronic Arts announced the
release of its new arcade style boxing game,
Facebreaker
,
for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 today. This new IP from EA's Freestyle
brand revives the old-school arcade boxing experience –
Punch-Out!
anyone? – for a new generation
of gamers, or just a classic generation looking to upgrade the
experience. Knock your opponents senseless, and watch as your punim
(Yiddish for face) pounding prowess shows its effects, as it is
illustrated by the game's real-time facial deformation.

Oof, that's gotta hurt!

Facebreaker
also includes Xbox Live Vision
camera and Playstation Eye support, so you can create custom boxers
by uploading yourself, your friends, or other faces directly into the
game. You can also download created boxers from EA
SPORTS World, scouring the over 30,000 boxers that players have
created since the game's downloadable demo launched last month.
Facebreaker
is
available now on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for $49.99 USD/CAD and is
rated T for Teen.
