The mystery of the Vigilante deepens as the masked man pays a visit to psychiatrist Dr. Powell. There is also more action as we later see the new Vigilante take on some thugs in order to break into the mayor's house. However an element of surrealism also enters the picture as we cannot be sure which parts of the Vigilante's tale are real and which are really part of some greater delusion. The art and story are a little too restrained, making it hard to get into the story or the characters. This book spends a little too much time with talking and not enough with action. By the way, unless Jones is setting up a major red herring, the identity of the Vigilante should be obvious to any comic reader very quickly.
