It is the moment you've all been waiting for!! Gambit returns to ULTIMATE X-MEN!!! Because the fans demanded it, the Cajun thief is back! But what is he going to steal? And can the X-Men stop him?

Everyone's eagerly anticipating the return of Gambit to the Ultimate Universe. Well, things aren't quite as you remember them. Vaughan show's his skills this issue. The story starts off kind of sedate for the first half, then all of a sudden towards the end, all hell breaks loose. Even in the begin though, its slow and calm, but still compelling reading. We're also really getting some good character build up and depth. And Gambit comes across great with his new out look.

We know Kubert is skilled and can knock a book out the park. What he does really well here though, is create a relaxed feel for the first part of this story. We see the X-Men just kicking back and that's a nice touch. The switch to action is also done well, as soon as the calm is broken, game faces come on. I think the only bad thing this issue was Gambit's hair cut lol
