Wonder Girl rejoins the Titans, just in time for an encounter with the Brotherhood of Evil. It is a fast-moving issue which highlights the conflicts within the team as well as the threat posed by the bad guys. The new Titans, like Kid Devil and the Ravager get a chance to shine, as do some new villains. But the whole story has a dark, negativistic tone. One character, who is not even 18, jumps naked into the bed of another character in a scene that comes off as exploitative rather than emotional or even enticing. The art shows great promise but also has a lot of hyper-detailed, stiff posing, right out of the Image Comics of the 1990s. The resolution of the INFINITE CRISIS was suppose to mark a new era of hopefullness for DC Comics but the Teen Titans appear to be as gloomy and unhappy as ever. Sure, they suffered some of the worst losses in the Crisis but despite their new membership, this book doesn't appear to have turned a corner at all.
