In a fit of desperation, Stardust took a gamble that unleashed a terrible evil into the universe. An evil so great that it may destroy everything… and we do mean EVERYTHING!
So a new big bad has entered the Universe and now we know her name. We also find out what she wants and it’s more than just a teabag. The issue itself did seem a little lacklustre. The writing wasn’t bad, don’t get me wrong there, but it was a pretty predictable issue. Big Bad arrives, once enemies become allies, yada, yada, yada. The air of pit stop really hangs over this issue, which is a shame, but hopefully things pick up again next time out.
Di Vito never losses his swagger with this series. The intro to the issue is nice, smooth and solid and things jus continue to build up steam from there. The crescendo we get midway through the issue is fantastic, two splash pages that really do make the eyes pop. The quality doesn’t slip from there either and as a treat for the ladies (and maybe the dudes too) Beta Ray Bill does a little strip lol The panel layout adds a lot to the presence of the new villain too, gives a chaotic feel.
