Eddie Edison is a pizza delivery guy by day and the sidekick of Mister Excellent by night. He hates both jobs and wants more recognition from his boss and more revenues from all the derivative products. Since he’s good at being a super hero sidekick, he decides he will apply for the job with three other super goons. The Problems is that although they seemed uninterested at first, they all take up his proposal. Can Eddie really be the sidekick of four super heroes?

This is a great humour title that spoofs one of the super hero world’s best known mainstay. It also looks at the other side of the coin. Finally someone will explain to us how Snapper Carr and Rick Jones do it and why.  The story is easy to understand even if you have never read a super hero before. It does with far more laugh and more levity what Rick Veitch attempted years ago in XXX. I prefer Jenkins’ take.

Moreno’s work is funny. It’s exactly what is required for a series like this. It’s so vivid, it almost seems like a cartoon series. Hopefully, that won’t be too far. His Night Judge looks almost like a fat Batman. I like his take on the Justice Princess, the Wonder Woman-wannabe. Moreno exposes the stupidity of several comic book archetypes with his caricatures. Even Commissioner Gordon’s in it. And to make matters better, we don’t see the face of the mystery villain, just like in Inspector Gadget.
