In this finale to the miniseries, the Bulleteer goes up against a disgruntled superheroine, Sally Sonic. Two hot babes whaling on each other! What could go wrong? Well, for one thing, most of the story is devoted to Sally Sonic narrating what a sad life she has had. Worse, the actual fight is depicted in very dull terms rather than the kinetic action that Len Wein and Sal Buscema could do in their sleep. The Bulleteer's characterization also seems to shift between the pages. Sure, the art is lush, detailed, even beautiful. It just isn't excting. The story meanwhile is clearly intended as just another chapter in Morrison's great SEVEN SOLDIERS saga. On its own, this issue and the entire miniseries has been rather unsatisfying. Oh well, at least we got some really good cleavage shots.
