Many may think where this story is going and how it affects Daredevil. Well, the whole vision quest isn't a mass of words to be brushed aside as insignificant ramblings. This is a story of exploration & self discovery, which can serve as a template for those parts of your life which seem out of our control. This issue shows us that Wolverine isn't here due to marketing, he has a definitive role and Mack uses him in a way that makes perfect sense. We finally see serenity in Echo as one more chapter in her life ends and she realises the parts of a whole.
Mack tells visual poetry with every stroke of his brush or pencil. The best way to enjoy his stories is to give yourself time to absorb and fully comprehend what is before you. This isn't just art for a story, it transcends normality. This in itself is another story, one which breathes just below the main tale and cultivates a logic that feeds us meaning. Maybe if we can full understand Maya Lopez we could realise that this story doesn't just happen in the sound of words, but the colour of them, the mood, texture and mystery. This story isn't just the sound of the notes, but is in the silence between them.
