1. Identity Crisis #2, 46 pts

"I really didn't think Brad could outdo the first issue. In that one we had a death that most of us saw coming, but that didn't keep it from being shocking and powerful. Here we've got the truth about the secret the JLA has been keeping, and it's something I never could have imagined. This could have a SERIOUS impact on the DCU. At the very least, it's going to change the way some people look at these heroes. Nice to see Kyle Rayner get a decent guest appearance -- he doesn't usually come off too well in other people's books. Another excellent effort from Rags Morales. I still don't think its up to the level of the work he was doing on Hawkman, but he's having to tackle so many different characters in every issue and I expect his work will only get better as the series progresses." "Excellent art from Ordway, and Johns manages to make me care about more than half of twenty characters in the book! That's an amazing amount of character development where some writers have trouble putting that into ONE character in a book." darklaw14, DC Message Boards

"Brubaker and Lark are hitting homeruns with this arc, featuring that twisted foe, The Mad Hatter. More about Harvey Bullock is revealed as the detectives of Gotham get into a bigger jam than usual. The resolution to this one isn't going to be pretty." DubipR, DC Message Boards
4. Fables #27, 19 pts
"This is my favorite title. Bill Willingham rules. He can turn Robin into a three toed sloth for all I care as long as he keeps churning out great Fables. BTW I like Batman and Robin titles, and I like Tim as Robin." SQuigley316, DC Message Boards
5. Superman/Batman #11, 17 pts
"I admit that in the past I haven’t enjoyed this title as much as I would have liked to. This week though this issue was the best read in my pile. Go figure." skyking, DC Message Boards
6. Aquaman #20, 12 pts

"With each issue of the American Tidal arc we've been given spotlights of Arthur's best character traits--his commanding prescence, his physical strength, his intelligence, his empathy for those who suffer, his righteous anger--and in this issue the final piece is provided that makes him eminently born to lead: his wisdom and sense of fairness. Arthur's decision regarding the fate of the one behind "Sub Diego's" destruction metes out justice without resorting to pure vengence. And we are left with a new realm for Aquaman to lead, and I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing this realm explored in future issues." Not My Real Name, DC Message Boards
7. Action Comics #817, 10 pts
"For some unfathonable reason, Chuck Austen seems to have found his book. It's just a straightforward superhero tale seen many times before, but Austen is writing an enjoyable one. He's also making Jack Ryder look like a worthless piece of garbage, which is a good thing. Ivan Reis is still brilliant." Krypton King, DC Message Boards
8. She-Hulk #5, 8 pts
"Easily my favorite new book of the year, She-Hulk has been firing on all cylinders for me since it started. I think I like Paul Pelletier's work better than the regular artist, however." Jimmy King, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Teen Titans #13, 7 pts
"Well this is a surprise. Last month I was seriously considering dropping this title. After a strong start, the storylines were getting boring and we were getting more questions than answers. But this issue was great and hopefully Geoff can keep the momentum up. I want this book to be in my top three every month, but this is the first time it's happened in nearly a year." Mister Miracle, DC Message Boards
(tied for 9th) Green Arrow #40, 7 pts
"Nice follow up to the previous arc while launching the next one. The scenes between Ollie and Dinah were well done, although they point to a direction in their relationship that I'd rather not see. On the plus side, it looks like it won't be long before Ollie will be tangling with "blue fascists" again, rather than demons and monsters." Not My Real Name, DC Message Boards

"Austen is suprising me once again! This was a pretty typical story for me until the short conversation between Superman and the other superhero's wife. I kinda hit me hard, though it really shouldn't have. I actually teared up a bit and I don't know why. The writing isn't amazing, just the idea of this guy that so wanted to be like Superman and failed really got me. Plus, I love Garney's style, great art." revolver86, DC Message Boards
