An
introductory note from the editor: It's good to be back. I'm still in
recovery, but I wanted to get back to work as soon as I possibly
could. Being cooped up in bed can be just as bad as being in a
hospital with no Internet access. That's not to say the hospital was
bad, but some people just need their Internet. And so, without
further ado, I am proud to reintroduce News Pop!.
Blizzard
sets official release date for The Burning Crusade
We
appreciate the fact that we received no hate mail after we reported
Blizzard's delay
of the World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade. You readers
truly understand the meaning of “don't shoot the messenger”. We
do have some good news today, as Blizzard has announced the new
official release date for The Burning Crusade. That day is January
16, 2007. That release date only applies to North America and Europe,
however Blizzard says that the dates for Korea, Australia, New
Zealand and Singapore will be in a “similar time frame”. As for
mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, players there will have
to wait a little longer to find out when the game will be hitting
their store shelves.
World
of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade will be available in two different
editions on January 16th for PC and Mac. The regular
edition will be available for $39.99 USD/$49.99 CAD and the special
Collector's Edition will be available for a suggested price of $69.99
USD. The Collector's Edition will include both a CD and DVD copy of
the game, an Art of The Burning Crusade coffee table book, an
exclusive in-game pet, a behind the scenes DVD, a WoW Trading Card
Game starter deck with exclusive cards, a mouse pad and, finally, the
official soundtrack CD. Don't forget that The Burning Crusade
requires the original World of Warcraft game in order to work, and
you still have to pay those monthly subscription fees.
Kim
Possible hits non-handheld consoles for the first time
Four

handheld systems, the teen super spy is making her debut on the
living room console scene in Disney's Kim Possible: What's the
Switch?. The game lets players control either Kim, Shego, or Rufus
and try to save the world. Kim Possible and her nemesis, Shego, must
team up to restore things to normal when the minds of Dr. Drakken and
Ron Stoppable are switched. The game features eleven missions, the
ability to acquire and use six different gadgets, and also has a
multiplayer mode. Disney's Kim Possible: What's the Switch? is
available exclusively for Playstation 2 for $29.99 USD/$34.99 CAD.
