Rated “T” for “Teen”

Takeo Goda is a giant guy with a giant heart.  He isn't the most attractive fellow, and the girls at the school he attends, Shuei High School, won't have anything to do with him.  Then, Takeo meets Rinko Yamato, from Koizumi Girls Academy, after saving her from a harasser on the train.  Yamato falls in love with Takeo and changes his life.  Takeo's long-time friend, Makoto Sunakawa, tags along for fun.

As My Love Story!!, Vol. 11 (Chapters 39 to 42) opens, Takeo's Shuei High School and Yamato's Koizumi Girls' Academy are going to the same place for the school trip.  Now, Takeo will be able to spend some time with Yamato, but he fears his strong feelings for her makes him a danger to her.  As much as he tries to avoid being too touchy-feelie, however, Yamato seems especially expressive.  Plus, Takeo teaches Yamato some physical education and Sunakawa has a new friend!

THE LOWDOWN:  The My Love Story!! manga is something special... still.  It remains a thoroughly enjoyable read, and I am a fan of the storytelling magic spun by creators Kazune Kawahara (writer) and Aruko (artist).

My Love Story!! Volume 11 deals with sexual tension without every calling it sexual tension.  If this were a romance manga for older teen readers or a josei, Vol. 11 would contain the chapters in which Yamato and Takeo finally send each other to orgasmic heaven.  The “new friend” story line is also interesting, especially because I suspect a gay teen romance sort of thing, but I doubt we will get that, although the resolution should be interesting.  Jump in and enjoy My Love Story!!

I READS YOU RECOMMENDS:  Readers looking for sweet love stories that are a bit different will want to try the Shojo Beat title, My Love Story!!
