Po (Jack Black) might be overly enthusiastic, even big and a little clumsy, but he is the biggest fan of kung fu around.  This doesn’t exactly come in handy while working every day in his family’s noodle shop.  He has to please his goose father Mr. Ping (James Hong), a noodle maker, who has no kung fu wish.  Mr. Ping owns the most popular noodle restaurant in the Valley, and wants to one day pass it down to his son, Po.

Po the panda (Jack Black) and Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman).

However, Po is suddenly and unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy.  He may be the prophesied Dragon Warrior.  Po’s dreams become a reality when he joins the world of kung fu.  He gets to study at the Jade Palace alongside his idols, the legendary Furious FiveTigress (Angelina Jolie), Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu), and Monkey (Jackie Chan) under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman).

Before Po knows it, however, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung (Ian McShane) is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat.  Can Po turn his dreams of becoming a kung fu master into reality?  Po puts his heart – and his girth – into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.

Along the way, Po will meet ancient tortoise Oogway (Randall Duk Kim), the wise leader and inventor of kung fu; Commander Vachir (Michael Clarke Duncan), the rhinoceros mastermind behind the seemingly inescapable Chorh-Gom Prison; and nervous goose palace envoy, Zeng (Dan Fogler).
