A mixed bag in both a good and very bad sense. A huge number of artists worked on this issue, apparently indicating that it was a rush-job to beat a deadline. They did a very good job, considering the constraints but it still doesn't amount to a good comic. In this tale, Alexander Luthor recreates the multiverse and tries to find the perfect Earth for himself and the other survivors of the first CRISIS. Nightwing and various heroes try to stop him, only to come up against Superboy-Prime. There is simply too much going on in this story and having all these different artists does not help make things clearer. There are panels in this issue that are the size of a finger but which have almost a dozen characters jammed inside. This diminishes the scope and impact of the tale. Sure, Ultra, the Multi-Alien and Minute Man get a cute cameo but it all feels rather meaningless. When the MAJOR DEVELOPMENT comes in the end, the reader will probably be more exhausted then moved. They really should have planned this thing better. Now, they are rushing to wrap it up so it won't conflict with all the "One Year Later" stories.
