And on the island where nothing is as it seems, he's returned--exactly as he was back then--to try and carve himself a piece of the Hulk. With an ending that you absolutely cannot miss! What can I say about this issue, really, what. I thought I’d figured out how things were going with David’s story, then……..WHAM!!! The thing about this story as well is, it’s told in a way that the twists don’t seem forced and really surprise the reader in a way many (stories) fail to. I can’t wait to see how this concludes and find out if the twists are really twists or if there’s something else happening here. Weeks really continues to impress me. He’s not only do a great job of showing the essence of the Hulk, the cocksureness, the brute force and growth. But he’s also doing a real good job of conveying David’s story. The scene with Ripley and the mirror, really gets you. General Ross also has a cold, calmness that is formidable. And I may be the only one, but I thought Weeks had an even better rendition of a certain “Time Lord” who’s jus made an appearance in Young Avengers.
