Veteran Green Lanterns Kyle, Guy and Kilowog and a group of newbies discover a new threat to the Guardians of the Universe in the Vega system. But they have other concerns as a group of bounty-hunters, led by Fatality, go after them as well. There are large parts of this issue which seem like some old World War II thriller with the team hiding inside ventilation ducts to spy on the bad guys. Amazingly, the power rings in this story seem to be little more than fancy ray guns. In fact, in too many Green Lantern stories in recent months, it seems that the new rings are less versatile and run out of power rather quickly-- apparently that is their new weakness, now that the color yellow has been tamed. Maybe it makes more sense but it is already becoming an overused plot device. The art is a little too confused in this issue. Too many dark panels, too many characters getting squeezed into too little space.
