The Corps. get their own book with Guy Gardner leading the team in his trademark, hard-headed way, this time trying to end a war on a feudal planet. Instead of expanding the scope too widely, the creative team wisely focuses on a small group of Lanterns at first rather than diluting things by bringing in a dozen new characters. There is enough action to keep things interesting and enough characterization to get the reader into the book on the long term. The art is largely adequate but at times, Gleason and Collins become too showy for their own good and we get whole panels full of explosions, dark shadows and weird creatures and technology that it is hard to tell what is happening.
