With the help of a Demon named Greexix, Johnny Blaze has escaped from Hell, after agreeing to help the Demon escape along with him (but not actually meaning it), Ghost Rider shake's his hand, only to have revealed to him that Greexix was Lucifer in Disguise. While escaping Hell himself, Johnny has inadvertently set the Devil loose as well. Ghost Rider is just a really fun book to read, it's fun to watch the interplay between Lucifer and Johnny Blaze. Johnny, while being a cool guy, is alway's on the bad luck side of things. Their's a line in this issue that sum's him up perfectly, it goes: "But that's just me, Johnny Blaze -- Always trying to do the right thing, but always doing it wrong." In this Issue, Johnny's back on earth, so it has an obviously different feel than the first issue where everything took place in hell, but even so, they still managed to cram in quite a bit of fire sequences, which i'll go out on a limb and say will probably be the norm from here on out. The art is absolutely fantastic, especially the flame's that engulf Ghost Rider's skull. As HervĂ© said in his previous review of Ghost Rider #1, The colourist should be credited for giving a 3D feel to the art. 8 out of 10 Ghost Rider #1 Review © Copyright 2002-2026 by Toon Doctor Inc. - All rights Reserved.
