Arts announced today that former University of Arkansas running back
and two time All-American recipient, Darren McFadden, will be the
cover athlete for the Xbox 360 version of
NCAA
Football 09
.
This year, the cover for each version of the game will feature an
exclusive cover athlete. The cover athletes for the Playstation 2,
Playstation 3 and PSP versions have not yet been announced, and the
cover athlete for the Wii version won't even be an athlete at all,
rather a team mascot chosen by user votes at the game's official
website. The winner of the
NCAA
Football 09
Cover Mascot Challenge
will
be announced on the website on March 18
th
.

scheduled to release on July 15
th
.
Mad
Catz gets NASCAR license
While
you probably won't be seeing a Mad Catz driver in NASCAR anytime
soon, though the headline may suggest it, you will soon see NASCAR
branded steering wheels and related accessories on store shelves. The
third-party accessory manufacturer announced that it has entered into
a license agreement with NASCAR that will allow it to produce
customized NASCAR branded steering wheels and other accessories for
all video game platforms. The multi-year deal includes distribution
rights throughout both the U.S. and Canada.
So,
what kind of NASCAR accessories can we expect to see? Aside from the
steering wheels mentioned above, Mad Catz plans to develop new
controllers, faceplates and console skins (or Console Skinz as Mad
Catz calls them) for Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, Wii, Nintendo
DS Lite (sorry original DS owners) and Xbox 360.
