The second part of the FIRESTORM-BLOODHOUND crossover has no recap of the first part so if you don't pick up FIRESTORM first, you may be lost. This is really the show of lead character, disgraced ex-cop, Travis Clevanger, the Bloodhound of the title. The interaction between the ultra-tough Bloodhound and Firestorm's boyish alter-ego, Jason, is both exciting, suspenseful and surprisingly poignant. Then, the evil druglord and his goons catch up and it is all Bloodhound's show now with Jason sitting on the sidelines. Jolley and Kirk may be getting too much of a good thing with Clevanger's violent encounters. The flowing blood, the visibly-snapping bones-- they were shocking and exciting the first few times out. After a few more issues like this, they may become almost routine. By the way, why does such a talented artist like Kirk have so much trouble drawing ordinary, garden-variety shotguns?
