Billy Drunk is one of the two sons of Jor El, Superman’s father who was sent to Earth much later and landed in France. Living as a super hero bum with the sidekick he helped created Shitty Boy with his own radio active powers, Billy Drunk is set to leave his mark on crime fighting and protecting the little people. However the dangerous Calamar Killer (Killer Squid) is out on the prowl eating people left and right. Can our homeless heroes defeat this inhuman threat?

This entire short is a pastiche of super hero clichés presented with over the top humour. The actor’s acting is exaggerated and sounds much like the 1960s Batman television series. It’s not subtle humour at all. The director hits you on the head with his concepts and bad plots of the week making one laugh out loud quite often. This type of humour either gets on your nerve or wins you over. At least, the director and the crew didn’t take themselves seriously.

The production values of this short film are not spectacular, although the lightning is good. Most scenes were shot at night, yet, it’s quite easy to see what happens on film. As for special effects, the prosthetics look like rubber chickens but they work with the theme of the film. The costumes are cheap and flamboyant, but what would one expect from such a parody?

If you happen to see this film, you’ll have a good 16 minutes of fun but by no means I would encourage anyone to seek this oddity, unless you enjoy the thrill of watching ridiculous amateur films and bad acting.
