The Queen of Fables returns to claim Superman as her Prince Charming. There is little background given on this character so unless you read the JLA story where she first appeared, you may be mystified about her powers and motives. Still, Superman deals with the magical threat in a calm, collected manner, clearly demonstrating that he is hero because of his character, not merely his powers. There is also a subplot of Lois trying to uncover some criminal cabal but it feels like more of a distraction to the main story rather than something that contributes to it. Byrne's art is nicely done although perhaps this story could have used an artist with more of a taste for fantasy than science-fiction
