Zak Edwards was a student at one of the colleges affiliated with the University of Alberta when he started writing for ComicBookBin in May 2007. Zak, I’m happy to say, five years later is still a staff writer and will be starting his master’s degree in English literature in September 2012 at McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario. Zak has always been opinionated and an above average writer that has covered all kinds of comics be they super heroes or more exotic genres. Zak understands the English language and understands literature and how it affects people. For his young age, Zak is not a techy at all but he gets books.

At this point, I don’t know how many reviews Zak has written. He’s been here for so long that I may have taken him for granted. As I write this he may not even be able to read this as he is out of reach abroad, but I really enjoy reading Zak’s work and although he started at ComicBookBin while he was very young, he has been one of the most solid writers we’ve had in years. Zak also has standards that some would say make him an elitist. When I introduced the commenting system under our articles, Zak didn’t like the idea very much thinking it would just spread into a free for all of personal attacks – you know, what is standard fare on most comic book sites! He liked that writers could have their say and not have to deal with badly argued retorts in broken English. I’m happy to say that Zak has grown as a writer since joining ComicBookBin and I hope that he will continue to do so in the next step of his career as a graduate student. Thank you Zak for being part of the team for five whole years.

Who's Who @ComicBookBin is a feature celebrating the 10th anniversary of ComicBookBin where publisher Hervé St-Louis features writers past and present that have contributed to ComicBookBin over the years.
