So let's talk about the book. The good story continues. More action. More adventure. More deaths. The New Mutants are being crushed by the robot Cameron Hodge. After tearing Karma's leg off, he attacks Cannonball. His human Right crew is battling the rest of the team and the team is slowly being overwhelmed. Then Warlock enters the fray at the request of Doug Ramsey. Using his natural ability, Warlock infects all of his enemies with the Techno-Organic virus and converts them into T-O creatures. Then he eats them. Last to fall is Cameron Hodge, crying defiance to his last breath. Meanwhile, Ariel teleports Rogue to the team chasing Hope in the hope that Rogue can track her. While they are following Rogue, the team is attacked by more of Bastion's minions. They blow up the car Ariel is traveling in, killing her on the spot. Wolverine and X-23 are also blown up but they heal. Back on Utopia, Donald Pierce, one of the captives in the X-Men dungeon does something to shut down Cerebra, causing a massive brain blast to hit the telepaths on the island. Meanwhile, Cable and Hope are hiding out in a trailer. Human servants of Bastion are upon them almost instantly. Turns out they are tracking Cable through the T-O virus running through cables body. The X-men get there in time to stop the humans. Cable decides to let Nightcrawler and a super powered up Rogue to get Hope back to Utopia. Mean while Cable, Wolverine, X-23, Psylocke, Archangel and Colossus will play decoy. And that's the book.
So let's talk opinions. Now we're starting to get into it. Casualties on both sides. A few secrets revealed. Another enemy rears his head. The odds are certainly starting to be staked against our merry mutants. Great story. The action doesn't stop for a second. Gorgeous artwork, as is the norm in all of the X books. It sure seems like the X-Men will not be catching any breaks in this storyline folks. Who will be the next to fall? Read on and find out.
Overall, I would rate this book a 8.5 out of 10. The art is clean. The story is moving along nicely and there's lots of action. That's my opinion folks. Take it or leave it.
