Deimos and Phobos the sons of Ares blackmail business woman Veronica Cale so that she may work for them. Deimos and Phobos want to locate Themyscira. Veronica Cale and her friends and business partner Doctor Adrianna Anderson attempt to read Wonder Woman’s mind with their invention, a system called Cyber. Will they be able to find the location of Themyscira from Wonder Woman?

It’s a good issue although I wish that the Greek deity were better introduce. I admit that I am not well-verse in Greek mythology and had to do some digging about Phobos and Deimos. They remind me of the Crimson Twins from G.I. Joes! Veronica Cale is also as obscure and although we’ve seen her and her associate before, I had to go dig into Wonder Woman’s history to figure out that she is supposed to be a Lex Luthor type. Her motivations for hating Wonder Woman are strong though.

I miss Nicola Scot but Bilquis Evely is a great penciller nonetheless. I especially like the colours by Romulo Fajardo Jr. over the artwork. He uses beautiful and warm colours. Don’t miss this issue. It continues the Wonder Woman Year One storyline.
