This issue feels slightly off-kilter all throughout. The main plot is that a Hollywood studio wants to make a movie about Wonder Woman and is trying to get her blessing. But not surprisingly, it turns out to be part of a trap for the amazing Amazon.

The story opens with Wonder Woman taking her new love-interest, Nemesis, to Paradise Island to meet her mother Hippolyta and to inform him of all the responsibilities involved in a romance with an Amazon. It is a rather stiff and uncomfortable scene with little humour to lighten the mood. It almost looks like poor Nemesis is being forced against his will into a shotgun-wedding (or shotgun-relationship) with Wonder Woman.

From here, there is a rather rough transition to Hollywood where Wonder Woman and her gorilla friends meet with the Hollywood studio types.  She soon finds that the movie they are making would be quite insulting to her but just as she starts to raise her objections, the evil mastermind springs her trap. There are some chuckles when we see Wonder Woman fighting different versions of herself, as seen from old TV shows and comic books but even this isn't properly utilised. Mostly, it just illustrates how Wonder Woman's image changes virtually every five years.

The villain of the piece is somewhat of a surprise since she hasn't been seen in comics for sometime. But seriously, this is about the third time for Wonder Woman to go up against a magical menace in barely a year. It is all getting to be repetitive.

The art is serviceable but nothing great. In some panels, it is rather stiff and heavy and does not make Wonder Woman look like the dynamic character she is suppose to be.
