Nightcrawler has died and the X-Men mourn their fallen friend. But will his death cause the team to split and refuse to help the time traveling mutant called Hope, the first mutant born since the Scarlet Witch eradicated mutants from Earth?

This is another event in the X-Men history and I’m beginning to be tired of them. It seems that every few months there’s a so-called important X-Men shake up meant to change their world forever. I’ve seen that one before and I’m not interested in how it ends. I know how it ends. Something changes a bit later and in six months, there will be another X-Men crossover to convince the troops that the X-Men matter and that they are the one franchise at Marvel Comics that matters. The one thing I did like about the story is how Cyclops asked the other X-Men quickly not to blame Nightcrawler’s death on Hope. That was well done and a strong moment.

Dodson is good here. I’m not a fan of his Cyclops though, but all the other characters look fine, except it seems he wishes they all had metallic shine on their bodies so he can draw wavy lines on their faces.
