Lilith interviews the powerful telepath known as Psimon attempting to find out why he stole Bumblebee’s memories. But the mind games that she plays against Psimon may turn against her, as he confides to her that one of the Titans will betray the team. Can Lilith find out which of them it is?

This issue was very entertaining as it offered a glimpse of the soap opera drama between the Titans and why they should not trust one another. It’s also the first year of the Rebirth storyline that’s running across the DC universe and although this series was to be the one leading the investigation of the changes to the world that occurred in the New 52, few developments have transpired.

One aspect that I don’t like about the various plot twists is that both Donna Troy and Lilith Clay are involved romantically with other Titans. Often this happens in team books. Every woman becomes nothing more than a romantic interest for a man. Of course, the Donna Troy and Lilith are more than that. They are classical Titans but this still diminishes their role in the story.

The one thing that Dan Abnett did well was sow doubts in the readers about who is the traitor. My money is on Aqualad but friends have made convincing case for Lilith being the traitor. Time will tell!

Kenneth Rocafort’s artwork reminds me of Art Thiebert’s. And like Thiebert, he needs a strong inker. While not my favourite type of comic artist, his work is dynamic enough for this series and keeps in line with what has appeared before. This version of Titans has looked like it came from the 1990s from the start!
