Following a venom attack on New York City by a Doctor Doom virus, the Avengers attack Doctor Doom’s country, Latveria. They are met with an army of doombots and Doctor Doom who’s returning from a time trip. Can the Avengers stop Doctor Doom in time?

This issue, Bendis chose to show the parallel between Doctor Doom and Iron Man, possibly setting up a larger narrative that will be concluded much later. Although not much happens, it’s a good issue that shows that depending on your perspective, Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, could be a hero or a villain. As for Doctor Doom, I’m just glad that we are seeing a story with the real one for once and not another decoy.

This is a good looking issue, with each time strip separated by a different style. It works well and tells us more about the story and the many settings. Much of this story is one big fight after another but they look fine and flow well over all the inking is crisp, just the way I like it.
