They are met with an army of doombots and Doctor Doom who’s returning from a time trip. Can the Avengers stop Doctor Doom in time? This issue, Bendis chose to show the parallel between Doctor Doom and Iron Man, possibly setting up a larger narrative that will be concluded much later. Although not much happens, it’s a good issue that shows that depending on your perspective, Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, could be a hero or a villain. As for Doctor Doom, I’m just glad that we are seeing a story with the real one for once and not another decoy. This is a good looking issue, with each time strip separated by a different style. It works well and tells us more about the story and the many settings.
