Spider-man has to find captured scientists locked away in a truck’s freezer before they die, but the snow storm makes him wish he had been bitten by a radioactive polar bear instead of a spider. And just when he’s about to save the scientists, a giant Mayan god attacks him and tries to kill him. It’s another brand new day for Spider-man, but this one could be his last.

This is the second part of the three part story with Wells and Bachalo. Wells adds enough little details to make the overall story interesting and even funny. However, this is not a great epic. Some of the human touches he adds is the crazy homeless guy that helps Spider-man fight the cold. There’s a lot of humour with Jonah J. Jameson, wanting to get back ownership of the Daily Bugle from the tycoon his wife sold it too while he was in the hospital. It’s fun to read how he tries to go out in the snow with all the orderlies trying to stop him. Is it a bit over the top and unrealistic? Of course. But did I get a good chuckle? Yeah.

With a snowstorm brewing, Bachalo is in his element. Because all he draws is usually fuzzy and unclear, a snowstorm adventure is the best place to let him wild. While I could not make out much of the action with Spider-man -  Bachalo has serious problems with comic book storytelling – his Jameson pages add to the humour and at the very least he captured the spirit of mood well.
