In order to reach the Mystery Machine and escape the mall mart, the gang has to create a diversion. But in doing so, Fred gets hurt, again and has to be rescued. Meanwhile, Scooby sacrifices himself so that the others can get away and separates from them. Will he survive being chased by monsters?

It’s another of those issues where little happen and the same old jokes are recycled. Fred keeps proposing to Daphne, and getting hurt. Shaggy is acting more childishly than usual which I guess for a Scooby Do comic is a good thing. And then, Velma and Daphne continue to be at each other’s throats.

Howard Porter is really the difference that this comic needs and why it still looks fresh and dynamic. His work is dynamic and he can make talking heads crisp and interesting.
