Demonic creatures are roaming within the secret compound where Scooby and the gang are trying to load up on food and other vital goods. The demons chase them around and all seems dire, or is it? How long can Scooby, Sammy, Fred, Velma, and Daphne survive?

This issue continues the suspense of the gag attempting to survive. Again, poor Fred is the victim of a vicious attack and seems like he’ll be the first to be eaten/transformed/killed by whatever monster is hunting the kids and Scooby. Of course, he survives it. This issue is more of the same. Daphne continues to be angry at Velma while Sammy doesn’t do much. Scooby, at least, continues to act out of character by being very heroic and the one to save the day when all is lost.

Major parts of this issue is wordless, allowing Howard Porter to tell the story visually. It seems that the breakdowns is Keith Giffens’ especially with the six panel per page composition but that is not specified in the credits. Porter is good at drawing gooey and gross organic material that gives goosebumps. Some of the remains of the demons blasted by the ray guns are genuinely gross!
