Though hardly destitute, he needs a job, preferably one that does not involve his current girlfriend, Shawn. And as Nightwing, he needs a lead on why a Metropolis gang is invading Bludhaven with a lot of high-tech weaponry. But it appears he’s not the only new player in town. King Shark, one time pirate and scourge of the seven seas, has taken up residence at a local casino. And he needs Nightwing “dealt with.” Settling down in Bludhaven seems to have agreed with Nightwing, almost returning matters to the pre-New 52 era. But it seems like it’s taken a long time getting here, and leaving Spyral behind. (What were they thinking?) He serves as that city’s Batman, prowling the night, dealing with street punks and more ambitious criminals. Hopefully the days of international intrigue are over. It’s best left to the professionals. I like the artwork of Mendonca & Cifuentes. It’s more traditional than the work we’ve been looking at by Javier Fernandez.
