Harley Quinn is on the run from the Justice League while Booster Gold is trying to figure out how he murdered all of the heroes found dead at the sanctuary. Can Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman solve this crime before the Flash becomes the next victim of Booster Gold?

I think writing something as good as the first issue was a challenge and this chapter, while as interesting felt like a let down and less important. On its own, it is a great story, but it does not measure to what we have read. This is not to say that the comic was bad. What Was not as good were the fill-in pages which although self-contained broke the dynamic established elsewhere.

I found that Harley Quinn was too good in her “defeat” and trickery of the trinity. I’m not sure why Wonder Woman did not intervene either. Tom King is expanding on the detective aspect of this story, but he is not quite looking at mental health in a way that matters. He seems to only show the symptoms. Hopefully, his character study will cover this important aspect of mental health.

I was not as impressed with the visuals this issue as with the previous one. Like I wrote above, the guest-filling was not as strong and Clay Mann’s work did not feel as polished as the first issue. I still like this comic, but this issue is not as remarkable. It is still a must pick comic though. The cover will remind some readers of Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia.
