The Spirits of Evil having destroyed the kingdom of Eternia are trying to enter Castle Greyskull. The assembled Thundercats and the Masters of the Universe are fighting as best as they can but there are many casualties. Is this the end for the heroes and Castle Greyskull?

This was an issue without He Man nor Lion-O. The story is set up to make us feed dread and fear at the loss of our heroes. Unlike anything we ever saw from the cartoon as kids, these guys get hurt badly. Since these are the cartoon characters from my youth, I’m hoping that there will be a magical spell at the end of the story that will heal all of the heroes who suffered in this huge fight.

And this is why this story is so good. Rob David and Lloyd Goldfine are making characters boys of my generation love and never saw get hurt for real as they were in a kid’s cartoon and they are pushing the boundaries. Both He Man and Lion-O have already been hurt badly previously. I love this comic!

I’m tired of saying that Freddie E. Williams II was born to draw this comic. It’s chaotic and filled with energy and overtly muscle guys who seem on roids. It doesn’t matter. This is what this comic and the cartoons were about. Get this comic!
