Diva Las Vegas

The first story of the 25th anniversary issue is a Thelma, Louise & Louise DC style. Harley, Catwoman and Poison Ivy are on their way to Vegas when on the road they help a casino owner regain his stolen money. As a reward the Gotham sirens get a free stay in the hotel of course Harley gets bored, so decides to throw a party.

Of course mayhem ensues. This opening tale was pretty spare on details, kind of a vignette as opposed to a story but it had some yuks. The art was as chaotic and dynamic as the character herself. Not beautiful but not messy and irritating.

Birthday Blues

Joker is calling the other villains of Gotham planning a heist. And Harley is feeling sorry for herself at home as it is her birthday, and it seems this year will continue the trend of crappy birthdays for her.

Finally Joker calls Harley as his getaway driver from the heist and turns out Harley gets a surprise party this year.

Leave it to her creator to write a superb short tale that provides some pretty intriguing and insightful back story into Harley Quinn. I actually felt for her.

And the art is dynamic and well done each panel has some zanyiness complementing the story.

Somewhere That’s Green

First of all the art in this story is stylistically very different from the rest of the comic. Not bad just different. Very lush yet faint almost like a adult colouring book. Since poison Ivy is the main guest star the art is reflective of that and works but its not my first choice for a comic's art.

Poison Ivy as Harley's pal gets top billing as guest stars, but another green themed character appears as well. Swamp Thing.

This is the last story in the anniversary issue and although somewhat politically themed, its decent and entertaining enough. Although it is my least favourite as Harley the title character is the least focal point in it.

After the end there are some gorgeous variant covers making this issue well worth the cost.
