Lost on the living planet Mogo, Guy Gardner fights against his fellow Lanterns to prove his innocence of the murder of two of his comrades. Oddly, the cover of this issue has two other Lanterns hiding from an alien army. Another case of the story being re-written without the cover being changed? Well the art is not the strong point of this issue. What does shine is the growing confidence in the depiction of the Corps. Gardner is as infuriating and abrasive as ever but he is also depicted with some intelligence and even-- gasp-- sensitivity. The newer members of the Corps. all have their personalities fleshed out further, all of them showing their good sides and their bad ones. The writer also does well in bringing the story to a conclusion in this issue rather than dragging it out for a trade paperback. Earlier comments aside, the art is not that bad. The action is exciting and eye-catching. However, at times, the artist is clearly trying to show off how imaginative and flashy he can be, rather than telling the story as clearly as possible. The creative team also seem to have a thing for the comic's resident female Lantern, Soranik Natu. She is the one character in the comic who looks reeeeeaaallly good, striking enticing poses and casting enchanting smiles-- even at rather inappropriate moments. Three out of five stars.
