God
of War II is available in stores today. The sequel to Sony's
multi-award winning action mythology game is available exclusively
for Playstation 2 and continues Kratos' epic journey through the
world of Greek mythology. The game has some new weapons and skills,
some familiar things from the first game, as well as some new moves
and magic to keep the fighting fresh. In addition to the game itself,
Sony is packing in a bonus DVD with over two hours of
behind-the-scenes footage and other content.
On
the heels of the release of God of War II, SCEA also announced an
original God of War title for PSP today. SCEA is not saying much,
except that the game will have its own original storyline. More
interesting was SCEA's director of software marketing, Jeff Reese,
hinting at the release of a high-def God of War game releasing in the
near futu
re saying, “fans may even
see
their esteemed God
of War in full 1080p HD in the not-too-distant future.”
For
anybody who really likes the music from God of War, the God of War II
soundtrack is also available at some retail stores and online at Sony
Connect and iTunes. The cost is $9.99 USD. God of War II is available
exclusively for Playstation 2 for $49.99 USD/$59.99 CAD and is rated
M for Mature.
