Movies Futurama Cancelled Again For the First Time By Hervé St-Louis April 22, 2013 - 14:23 The National Post reports that Futurama, a series created by The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening and fellow colleague David X. Cohen has not been renewed by cable network Comedy Central. The 2012/2013 season will be the last. Futurama, reports the National Post, was cancelled by Fox Television in 2003 already and was then revived by Comedy Central as a series of direct to home specials and then as a regular 26 episodes series in 2007. Futurama has not had the same longevity as sister series The Simpsons but has gathered a cult following over the year, captivated by 21st century man Fry who funds himself in the future, several centuries in the future.
