Eerie Cuties by Giselle Legace and Dave Zero is a regular read of mine. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure too, it has to be said. One of things that I love about it is that it keeps me guessing and I can never quite work out what direction it's going to take. I get it right about once every ten tries. But I love that.
Eerie Cuties is very funny. There are lots of gags, visual or otherwise. And quite a few shocks too. It deals with the lives of students at what I occasionally call 'monster High', but is actually named Charybdis Heights. There is an eclectic teaching staff and student body at Charybdis Heights. We have lizards, were-dogs, vampires, elemental creatures and succubi to name just a few of the entities roaming the halls of the school.
The stories focus on the Delacroix sisters, two vampires that are two years apart in age and have very different personalities. One of them craves something quite unusual instead of blood (I'm not going to spoil it!). Through these sisters, Nina and Layla, we get to see the workings of the school and share in their exploits, dilemmas, mishaps, triumphs and those of their friends too.
The page layout changed to a full-page manga style two years ago and this coincided with it being published twice a week. Though mainly in black and white, there are some colour pages interspersed throughout the web comic. There is also a very active forum for people that like to talk about what they've just read with like minded souls.
