Brave Men Run
I was very happy to learn that Matthew Wayne Selznick signed a deal that will see his first novel "Brave Men Run" released through a publishing company. I first read (listened) to the book over a year ago and I was blown away by it's unique blend of fantasy and drama.

Here's a link to an interview I did with Matt shortly after finishing the book.

News about the deal broke first on his personal web site, here:

He also brings news of the July 13th 2008 release date.

Brave Men Run is an especially relevant piece to all fans of comic/fantasy related material. I immediately identified with the characters in a way that is rare among contempory fiction. Having listened to it via audio book and read it in it's early print form I give this novel my highest recommendation.

Although it's no longer available in the previous print on demand version, it's still available for free in podcast form. The podcast is especially valuable because the work is read in it's entirety by the author himself. It's hosted by Podiobooks.com and available here:

I will be rereading the book over the next couple weeks so that I can provide a detailed review prior to it's re release. As a fan of the author it's my intention to do what ever I can to ensure that the book has a great first day on the Amazon sale charts. It's a high quality book with deep independent roots, it deserves the attention.
