Nevertheless, it hits all the right notes, providing a delicate blend of quiet reflection and mortal danger. It left me wanting more. As the issue reached its end, I thought, “So soon?” Terry McGuiness is at a crossroads, trying to reconcile his life as Terry and his life as Batman. He has no desire to end up angry and alone, like his predecessor. But while he does some soul searching, the League of Assassins has attacked Gotham PD, only Terry is too preoccupied to notice. Meanwhile, the prototype batsuit he’s been wearing is cause for concern from Bruce. Exactly why remains a mystery. Perhaps it has to do with Terry’s added degree of aggression in battle. Even while Terry is pondering his future, Bruce revisits his past, alluding to various events which may or may not come to past.
