The Chameleon is on the loose about to explode a nuclear device in the middle of New York City. It’s up to Spider-man to stop him, but Mayor Jameson and his army of exo-skeleton powered cops are after Spider-man and getting in the way of the super hero saving the day. Can Spider-man stop the Chameleon and his bomb in time?

This was a fun issue as the Chameleon, in his guise as Peter Parker did a wonderful job of fixing his life and even got him a new girlfriend. It says a lot about Peter Parker’s inability to take responsibility for his life when a villain impersonating him for about a day can fix all of his problems. This story felt over the top, with the Jameson robotic squad, but it was nonetheless fun and continued the tradition of showing how complicated Peter Parker and alter ego Spider-man’s life is.

I enjoyed the artwork tremendously. It was clean, polished, and filled with details. From the initial pages, the artists created a mysterious mood that quickly gave in to the brighter world of Spider-man. It’s amazing how they effected this transition so smoothly.
